Fall picnic and outdoor service
On Sunday, September 7th at 9:30AM, we will host one outdoor service followed by a potluck brunch picnic. Bring a lawn chair for the service. OSLC will provide chicken and the congregation will provide the other brunch items. Sign up with your name, number of guests attending, and food item for the potluck. Signup up sheet is in the narthex.
The ELCA has designated Sunday, September 7th, as the annual “God’s Work, Our Hands” Sunday. At OSLC we continue to work on Little Dresses for Africa. God’s Work, Our Hands is an opportunity for everyone to intentionally invest time in service projects outside the walls of the church. We remember the words of Martin Luther: “Our faith is a living, busy, active, mighty thing. With our hands, we do God’s work of restoring and reconciling communities in Jesus Christ’s name.
Little Dresses for Africa

Join us for our next sessions in this long-established project at OSLC, where we have been creating dresses for girls in Africa since 2014. This initiative transforms donated pillowcases into beautiful dresses, utilizing the guidelines set forth by “Little Dresses for Africa” and embellishments like ribbons and buttons.
Help us support this global community project and contribute to the over 600 dresses that our volunteers at OSLC have created and donated. No prior sewing experience is necessary to participate.
