    The Season of Lent

    Lent is a solemn season marked by a period of 40 days where we reflect, repent, and prepare our hearts for the resurrection of Jesus on Easter.

    + February 25th and March 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th 12th, 19th, 26th - Lenten Worship Service at 7:00 PM
    + March 29th - Palms and Pastries. Worship Services at 8:30 & 10:30 AM. Breakfast served at 9:30 AM
    + April 2nd - Maundy Thursday. Worship Service at 7:00 PM with Washing of the Feet ceremony

    Shrove "Tuesday"

    (to be celebrated on Sunday February 15th after 8:30 and 10:30 AM services)

    Although it is not part of the Lent season, Shrove Tuesday, also known as Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday, or Carnival, serves as a day for our congregation to come together in preparation for Lent. We will share a breakfast of pancakes and engage in outreach activities. This gathering offers us an opportunity to reflect on our faith as we transition into the solemnity of Lent. Please join us and invite your family and friends as we embrace fellowship and service in anticipation of the journey ahead.

    Palms and Pastries

    (March 29th 8:30 and 10:30 AM Worship Services with Breakfast served at 9:30 AM)

    Palm Sunday marks the last Sunday of Lent and the beginning of Holy Week. During the Worship Service, Pastor Lucas will distribute and bless palms, symbolizing the joy and hope of Christ’s entry into the holy city.

    Join us for Worship at 8:30 or 10:30 AM and pastries and breakfast in between services at 9:30 AM.

    Washing of the Feet

    (Maundy Thursday April 2nd at 7:00 PM)

    The Washing of the Feet ceremony is a profound moment during Maundy Thursday's Worship service. Midway through the service, Pastor Lucas invites congregants to come forward for the washing of their feet, reflecting the example set by Jesus at the Last Supper. This act is a powerful reminder of service, humility, and love, encouraging us to embrace a spirit of servanthood in our daily lives and serve others just as Christ served us.

    Easter

    (Easter Sunday April 5th 10:00 AM)

    Easter Sunday marks the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, which took place three days after His crucifixion. On this day, we come together to reflect on and express gratitude for Christ's ultimate sacrifice: His death on the cross for our sins and his raising from the dead to give us eternal life with God.

    We invite you, your family, and friends to celebrate this day with us and embody the message of hope and salvation in our everyday lives.

Maundy Thursday Service

Thursday April 2nd at 7PM‍

‍If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. John13:14

Maundy Thursday service will be a washing of the feet as Jesus did to his own disciples. At the end the service, the Altar will be stripped of the paraments in preparation for the Easter Vigil.

Good Friday Service

Friday, April 3rd 7PM

Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus. Through an act of incomprehensible love, Jesus endured the greatest torments and died on the Cross so that humanity might be healed through His wounds and find the principle of true life in His death. Good Friday has been a time of somber reflection, penance, and meditation and whilst what was done to to Jesus was not good, the results of Christ’s death are very good.

Easter Morning Service

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is that central moment in human history that serves as the foundational doctrine of Christianity. After having truly assumed human nature and submitted to an agonizing and shameful public death, the eternal Son of God was raised from the dead in his glorified physical body, no longer subject to decay and death. His resurrection validates his identity as the divine Son of God, demonstrates his irrevocable victory over death and the grave, and secures both the present salvation and future physical resurrection of believers.
