Letter from Pastor Lucas Cochran
Another year and another Vacation Bible School has come to an end. The energy level this year and the number of volunteers who helped make this year’s VBS special were truly outstanding. We hosted three times as many kids as last year’s VBS, and because of that, we needed not only more volunteers but also more activities for the children. Kickball, music class, story time, art class, and numerous other activities were designed to teach the children a new biblical lesson each day. I thank all the volunteers who signed up to help manage the children running through the halls of our church.
This year for VBS, we learned that God is always with us wherever we go. We learned these lessons through our Road Trip theme, which showed the children that throughout life’s twists and turns, through every detour and traffic light, our Lord God is always by our side, accompanying us on our journey.
If you missed VBS this year, check us out next summer. We always have a lively bunch of kids who love the games and lessons throughout the week. We would love to see more new faces next year, and if you have any questions about how to get involved in our congregation or volunteer for our next VBS, please reach out. I know everyone here at Our Saviour Lutheran Church would love to hear from you.
Pastor Lucas
